2006-04-04 - 10:34 p.m. Okay, I've decided that for the next few days I'm going to be collecting quotes that I like and posting them here:
"Gay and lesbian people in our country are fighting a mean-spirited movement to harm them and to discriminate against them. I stand with them against that movement, and I'm proud to stand with them"~Feingold, D-Wis"I believe in God, only I spell it N-A-T-U-R-E."~Frank Lloyd Wright{It has since come to my attention - after researching the quote - that its intent was to imply that nature is God's work in action; as seen in this FLW quote, "God is the great mysterious motivator of what we call nature, and it has often been said by philosophers, that nature is the will of God. And I prefer to say that nature is the only body of God that we shall ever see" (NOT, by the by, to be considered among posted quotes that I like on this page). This is how I originally interpreted the quote's meaning in my own head: "you call it 'God', I call it just the way things are; nature" (Yes, I just quoted myself making up an interpretation of someone else's quote). Because I still believe that on its own the quote can still be interpreted that way for my own personal use, I am leaving it as a quote that I like...I just like it to have a meaning defined by me. :-p - thank you.} "Okay, maybe I do wish death upon Dr. Phil-but C'MON! That balding, pear-shaped dickhole is a blight upon humankind, and needs to have his head shoved into the bottom of a gastrointestinally challenged donkey. But hey! I'm not a cruel man-that's whyI would sympathetically and quickly end his life with a jalapeņo enema. Does anyone have a fire hose?"~Steven Humphrey of The Stranger, a Seattle newspaperPlease note that 5/1/2003 was "Mission Accomplished" according to GWB.
